Happy Monday and blessings on the awesome American Holiday. I hope you do get some rest and some good BBQ!
I read a short post made by a doctor that had been reposted by a friends. The story was of how a he had to operate on a young girl and they did not have the O- blood necessary. The only person they could find that was a match was the little girls brother.
The doctor sat the boy down and explained what was going on. He sat still a moment and contemplated what was going on. Then he told the doctor okay. So they began the process and the boy looked at the doctor. He said, “So, how long will it take for me to die?”
True story of the preparedness to sacrifice his life for his sister. No one died and both are just fine. But how many of us are so ready to give our lives for another?
The next time you need a reminder of goodness and sacrifice like this, remember Jesus and the fact that he face what would be the most horrific death ever and accepted it.On our behalf…
Have a wonderful holiday!
