Don’t Lose Sight Of The Details…

May God just pour the latter rain upon you today!

You know, we sometimes forget how important the details are.details In everything. Especially in words. Read the following lines and spot the differences:

“Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head…”
“Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head…”

Said to two people within a few seconds of one another. Joseph interpreting the dreams of the Chief Baker and Chief Butler of Pharaoh (Genesis 40). If you aren’t careful, you will miss the the two words “up” and “off.” One is a declaration of restoration. The other is a condemnation of annihilation. Haha, see what I did there?

Anyway, details in life are important. Details are what solves crimes. Details are what make things wonderful and terrible. They are the difference between Hollywood’s portrayal and the truth.

I watched an action movie once about a soldier with PTSD. About a year later, I read the book. The details were so different it was incredible. In the book, it was a different time of year, a different location. The hero in the movie was actually a psychopath in the book. The bad guy in the movie was a good guy in the book. And the main character died in the book but remained alive in the movie. Sort of, “Lost In Translation.

Details are important. Never take anything for granted, it’s dangerous. Your relationship with Christ has details. Some of those details are really important. Never take them for granted!

I love to write. I write books, blogs, articles. Mostly about God and His amazing blessings. Sometimes about other things. But mostly about God. I have a fixation on comma. Please forgive me if you see too many of them.
